Corey Wooley is the First Assistant Golf Professional at The Jeremy. He was born and raised in Washington state, and has lived in Park City for the last three years. An internship at Park Meadows CC brought him to Park City, where he worked for 3 years prior to arriving at The Jeremy. He is getting married this October to his lovely fiancé Ashley whom he met in college.
Corey graduated from the University of Idaho, majoring in Professional Golf Management as well as Business Marketing. He has been playing golf since age 10, and has been working in the golf industry since he was 16. In his first year of playing golf he carded a hole-in-one from the ladies tees in a junior camp. At that moment he knew he wanted pursue the great game, and hasn’t looked back. At age 15 he set a course record, shooting a 67 at a Washington Junior Golf event in Spokane. He opted not to play golf in college, but instead to pursue the business side of the game. He received Class-A PGA Professional membership in 2011, and is currently working towards his Certified PGA credentials.
Aside from the game of golf, Corey has been qualifying for the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship for the last four years. He won every local qualifier in Idaho and Utah, and missed an opportunity to go to the world championship in Mesquite in 2010 by one spot, placing third in a regional qualifier. His career longest drive was at the Nicklaus course at Promontory where he split the fairway on a 485 yard drive, and normally averages 370 off the tee. His other hobbies include skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, playing basketball, and watching football and motorsports.
